At our headquarters located in Quilicura, Chile, we have taken a crucial step towards a sustainable future from 2023. We are proud to announce that we have signed an agreement with Black Box Energy and Evol Trading SpA to monitor and power our facilities and processes with renewable energy from photovoltaic sources, marking a substantial milestone in our mission to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to environmental conservation.
In a world increasingly aware of the importance of sustainability, we at VOGT are committed to leading the shift towards greener business practices. The 100% power supply from photovoltaic plants to our Production Plant is a testament to this commitment, demonstrating our dedication to using clean, renewable energy sources.
Since the implementation of the agreement signed with Evol Trading SpA, we have managed to avoid the emission of a significant amount of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Annually, we expect to displace 200 tons of CO2, contributing directly to the fight against climate change and promoting a healthier environment for future generations.
Photovoltaic energy is not only environmentally friendly, but also offers long-term economic benefits. By harnessing the sun's energy, we reduce our dependence on traditional energy sources and contribute to long-term cost savings, allowing us to reinvest in additional sustainable initiatives.
In the future, we will implement a photovoltaic solution inside, both to power smaller utilities and to test and demo the different energy storage technologies we are integrating into our fluid handling solutions for our customers.
