At VOGT, we understand that innovation does not always mean creating something from scratch, but rather looking at what we already do well with fresh eyes. Our Pump Rooms were born precisely from this vision: from the experience accumulated in underground mining projects, where operations face increasingly challenging conditions and people's safety is an absolute priority.
For years, we have been involved in high-altitude mining operations, where extreme cold, snow, and solar radiation affect both the performance of the equipment and the well-being of those who operate it. This reality led us to ask ourselves how we could offer a comprehensive solution that would simultaneously protect people, operations, and equipment. This gave rise to our proposal: VOGT Pump Rooms, an innovation that redefines the traditional concept of hydraulic installations in mining.
Designed inside conditioned shipping containers, the pump rooms integrate all system components—pumps, piping, instrumentation, and connections—into a compact, protected, and climate-controlled space, fully assembled and factory tested. This configuration allows each system to arrive on site ready to operate, reducing the time, risks, and costs associated with civil works, welding, or on-site assembly.

But beyond efficiency, these rooms are designed to protect people. They incorporate safe, climate-controlled spaces where operators can perform maneuvers with thermal comfort and adequate visibility, even in sub-zero conditions. Their ergonomic design, interior lighting, and controlled access enable safer, more accurate, and faster maintenance. In environments where every degree and every minute counts, these features make all the difference.
At the operational level, the “plug & pump” concept—install, connect, and operate—changes the traditional logic of high-altitude assembly. Internal climate control systems and heating tapes prevent water from freezing, ensuring operational continuity even in the harshest winter months. In addition, their transportable structure allows them to be easily relocated within the project, adapting to new stages or expansion needs.
VOGT Pump Rooms represent much more than a technical solution; they are a step towards safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining. They incorporate satellite technology and remote monitoring, allowing us to supervise performance, anticipate contingencies, and optimize resources remotely. They also include an internal hoisting system, designed to lift equipment and components without requiring external machinery, facilitating maintenance tasks and reducing occupational hazards.
At VOGT, we know that behind every operation there are people who face extreme conditions to keep mining going. Pump Rooms were created to take care of them: to offer safer, more comfortable, and more efficient spaces, where technology is put at the service of human well-being. Because when we protect those who work in mining, we are also building a more sustainable and conscious industry.
