Water efficiency, operational reliability, and the adoption of new technologies are increasingly important factors for the development of the mining industry. In this context, we participated in Water Congress 2026, a forum for technical exchange that brought together specialists, mining companies, and technology providers to address the main challenges associated with water management.

The 14th International Congress on Water Management in Mining and Industrial Processes, organized by Gecamin, took place October 27–29 at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel, drawing more than 500 attendees and featuring over 140 technical presentations by national and international experts.

Water Management: A Strategic Challenge for the Mining Industry

The availability, transportation, and efficient use of water pose fundamental challenges to the continuity and sustainability of mining operations.

During Water Congress 2026, topics such as the efficient use of water resources, water treatment and reuse, technological innovation, and the responsible management of this resource were addressed.

These topics underscore a reality we know firsthand: water management depends not only on ensuring supply, but also on having reliable, efficient systems that are prepared to meet the demands of each operation.

Based on our experience with pumping solutions for mining and industry, we understand that the performance of these systems plays a fundamental role in operational availability, energy efficiency, and resource management.

Our Participation in Water Congress 2026

For VOGT, participating in this event represents an opportunity to stay connected to the technical and operational challenges facing the industry, share our expertise, and strengthen our dialogue with professionals and specialists in the sector.

These forums allow us to gain different perspectives on the evolution of water management and continue to promote pumping solutions that meet the real conditions and requirements of mining operations.

Our approach considers not only the hydraulic performance of the equipment but also its integration into processes, system reliability, and its contribution to a more efficient operation.

Technology and Expertise for More Efficient Mining

Water-related challenges require a comprehensive approach, in which technical expertise, innovation, and operational experience complement one another to develop sustainable solutions over the long term.

At VOGT, we continue to work from this perspective, convinced that the efficiency and reliability of pumping systems are essential components of responsible water management.

We thank Gecamin for once again organizing this gathering and the professionals with whom we shared insights during Water Congress 2026.

We remain committed to contributing our experience and technical expertise to the development of solutions that address the present and future challenges of the mining industry.
